Martin McDaniel

who is Martin McDaniel?

Raised in the small town of Opp, Alabama—famed for its Rattlesnake Rodeo—Martin’s Southern roots run deep. Born into a family of the arts, his mother is a studied and trained artist, and his father is a musician and carpenter. From an early age, Martin was singing along to Vince Gill songs and playing drums, like his Dad. Then, after the family moved to Destin, FL, a trip to the church his Dad was playing in changed his path. The guitar player for the church band, Shannon Wallace, played a solo that lit a fire under him for the guitar that has never been put out.

Once Martin had worn out every road across the Southeast, he decided to pursue his musical ambitions full-time and move to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2008. At age 20, Martin was not old enough to get into the bars, so a close friend snuck him into Fiddle and Steel on Broadway, where, two weeks later, he secured his first Nashville gig. Soon after, he was able to play his way around the Nashville circuit. It didn’t take long for Martin to begin touring all around the country.

Since then, Martin has toured and opened for major acts such as Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, and Billy Currington. In 2019, Martin was asked to be a part of Alan Jackson’s Good Time tour. Martin has also made waves in the streaming world, and his independently released songs have earned top spots on Spotify-curated country playlists such as "New Boots" & "Breakout Country”. He is excited as more new music is coming in the near future.
